CIBN UK BRANCH ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria has elected new officers to stir the new established branch for the next
two years. Mr. Innocent Okwuosa, ACIB, was unanimously elected as pioneer Chairman of the Branch. Others elected to pilot
the affairs along with him are Mr James Egodibie, ACIB, Vice Chairman, Mr Adebayo Abiola Fagbenro, ACIB, General Secretary,
Rosemary David-Etim, HCIB, Mr Uriel Kenekueyero,ACIB, Public Secretary Treasurer, Dolapo Alao, Financial Secretary and
Mr Longinus Anyanjo, Social Secretary.

Innocent Okwuosa (ACIB)
Mr Innocent Okwuosa, an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria is presently a member of the Governing
Council, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a financial consultant with Entop Consulting Ltd,
Manchester, UK. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate member, Chartered
Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Mr Okwuosa worked with the then Nigerian Industrial Development Bank now Bank of
Industry rising to become Head, Accounts and Management Services Unit (AMSU) of Finance Division. He also worked in the
Commercial Division handling equity investment portfolio of the bank as well as Commercial Letters of Credit.
A founding Director of Safe Associates, a leading accounting tuition house in Lagos, Mr Okwuosa operated in the capital
market as investment adviser with Arnold Portfolio Co, before relocating to UK. He holds a Masters degree in Banking and
Finance from University of Ibadan, another Master’s degree in International Accounting and Finance (Distinction) from
University of Stirling, Scotland, UK and is currently a Doctoral Researcher in Accounting, Henley Business School, University
of Reading, and lectures in that University as well as University of Liverpool, UK.

James Egodibie (ACIB)
Mr James Egodibie is an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, an Associate Member of the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
He currently works for Rolls Royce Plc as a Management staff in the ERP SAP Centre of Competence, and a Director in Solid Rock
Initiative Ltd UK. Mr Egodibie has over 20 years banking experience in branch banking, commercial and Head Office functions,
working with First Bank of Nigeria Plc., Nigeria before relocating to the UK where he studied and gained his certification in
SAP FICO. A seasoned facilitator and a motivational speaker, at workshops and seminars. Mr Egodibie holds a Masters degree in
Banking and Finance from University of Ibadan, a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance and another in Applied Accounting from Oxford
Brooks University, UK.

Mr Adebayo Abiola Fagbenro (ACIB)
Mr Adebayo Abiola Fagbenro, an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria is presently an Internal Auditor with
Guaranty Trust Bank UK. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate member, Certified
Pension Institute of Nigeria. Mr Fagbenro worked with various banks in Nigeria as an Internal Auditor including United Bank for
Africa PLC, Broad Bank Ltd and Oceanic Bank PLC. He was the pioneer Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management with Future
Unity Glanvills Pensions Ltd before relocating to the United Kingdom. Mr Fagbenro holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from
Olabisi Onabanjo University (formally Ogun State University) with a second class upper division. He is currently undertaking
an M.Sc. Program in Finance and Risk Management at the University of East London United Kingdom.

Uriel Kenekueyero (ACIB)
Mr Uriel Kenekueyero is an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and also Certified Documentary Credit
Specialist with the Institute of Financial Services (IFS) London. Uriel is a Banking Operations and Trade Specialist with a
wealth of banking experience both in Nigeria and abroad. He currently works with Guaranty Trust Bank UK as Deputy Team
Leader in charge of the Trade Marketing Team of the Bank. Mr Kenekueyero holds an MBA degree (Marketing) and BSc degree
in Political Science both from the University of Lagos in Nigeria including the CDCS qualification from the IFS- School of
Finance here in London.

Rosemary David-Etim (HCIB)
Rosemary David-Etim, is currently an Executive Director, Business Development, with FBN Bank (UK). She has over 25 years of
banking experience, spanning areas such as treasury, trade, telecommunications, aviation and transport. Prior to her
appointment to the Board of the Bank, she was a Group Head in the Institutional Banking Group of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.,
with responsibility for overseeing the banks Telecommunications and Transportation businesses. She has strong analytical, deal
structuring and relationship management skills, demonstrated leadership capabilities and a passion for motivating people and
teams to achieve excellence in service delivery and a first class corporate performance. She has attended many banking and
senior management banking courses and holds a BSc in the Social Sciences and a Masters Degree in Business Administration
and General Management.

Dolapo Alao
Dolapo Alao is an experienced banker whose banking experience spans over many years and covers operations, treasury,
commercial business and private banking. She had worked at United Nations Children and Education Fund (UNICEF),
the defunct Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc, First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Ecobank Nigeria Ltd. Dolapo joined Fountain Trust
Bank in 1999 and was the bank’s Group Head Operations & IT before relocating to the United Kingdom. Presently the Head of
Customers Services, Union Bank of Nigeria, UK, she plays a key role in the bank’s operation in UK.

Mr Longinus Anyanjo
Mr Longinus Anyanjo is an associate member of the Chartered institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He had wealth of banking
experience in Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom. He is currently working with NHS in the United Kingdom.
Mr Anyanjo holds M.Sc Finance from Federal University of Technology Owerri.
